Opera Ronggeng (2005)

An experimental Broadway performance based on Novel by Ahmad Tohari “Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk”. An Hour performance of various dance vocabularies based on Javanese Banyumasan dance.

Combine with a musical lyrical story compose by Max Biagi which create a full length of creation of dance and musical choreography. Issues of gender and community create the story composition blend with collar full and playful dance performance. Yayasan Kelola has supported this performance for the new innovation dance grant
